Training covers all aspects regarding Fuel Tank Safety and program in accordance with defined syllabus established in Appendix IV to AMC 145.A.30(e) and 145.B.10(3) for EASA Part 145 Maintenance personnel and Appendix XII to AMC to M.A.706(f) and M.B.102(c) for EASA Part CAMO personel.

ABOUT THE COURSE:

The term ” Fuel Tanks Safety (FTS)” refers to the principles which apply to aeronautical design, certification, training, operations and maintenance while working on structure and fuel tank safety related components on the aircraft, which may in any way jeopardize safety of aircraft and passengers.

In order to reduce the impact of FTS activities it is highly important to ensure that all the processes involved in the maintenance of aeronautical products are analyzed and any procedural requirements are adhered to at all times.  Many investigations of accidents/incidents in aviation have revealed FTS related issues to be an important element in the chain of unfortunate events.

OBJECTIVES:

• Familiarize candidates with the elements of Fuel Tank system Safety Issues
• Enable candidates to understand the historical background and elements requiring consideration in relation to fuel system safety
• Equip candidates to understand and use the language of fuel system safety issues
• Allow candidates to understand and interpret fuel system safety issues from regulatory and manufacturer's maintenance publications included new issues as well
• Satisfy Part 145 & Part M Amendments on fuel system safety
